It is a village with a very old history and built on a farm. Thanks to the people working on that farm and people coming from outside, the village has spread. There are also several historical monuments in the village.

It is 40 km from Süleymanpaşa. The economy of a village depends on agriculture and husbandry. There is a primary school in the village, but it is not used and bussed education is used. The village has drinking water and sewerage network. There is a PTT branch and a PTT agency. There is no health centers and health posts. The road that provides access to the village is asphalt and there is electricity and fixed telephone in the village. The population in 2019 is 85 people. After Tekirdağ gained the metropolitan status on December 6, 2012, all villages turned into neighborhoods.
